So You Want to Start a Cake Shed?
A live workshop for anyone thinking about starting a cake shed
You've seen the sheds.
The pretty displays. The cakes. The SOLD OUT signs.
And you're thinking: "I could do that."
Maybe you could.

But before you spend hundreds of pounds on a shed, fridge, equipment, packaging and ingredients, it's worth spending a little time working out what you're actually getting yourself into.
Because a successful cake shed isn't just about baking lovely cakes and putting them in a shed.
There's a business behind it.
Meet the panel
Three people. Three different perspectives. One very useful conversation.
At the live cake shed workshop, you'll hear from two very experienced cake shed owners who run their businesses in different ways, with different customers, different goals and different definitions of success.
They'll share what they've learned from actually doing it — what worked, what didn't, what surprised them and what they'd do differently now.

I'll be joining them too, bringing my own experience of running a baking business and cake shed, along with the business coaching and teaching experience I've built through my corporate career and running Becca's Bouqcakes and Flourish & Bloom Kitchen.
We don't all do this the same way — and that's exactly the point.
You'll get to see different approaches, ask questions and start working out what could work for your cake shed.

That's all you need there.

The Learning Platform

Is this for you?

This workshop is for you if:

You're thinking about starting a cake shed but don't know where to begin.

You've already bought your shed and now you're wondering what you've forgotten.
You've started trading but things aren't working quite as you'd hoped.
You're wondering whether your cake shed could actually make money and want to understand what that might look like.
Or perhaps you've simply got a head full of questions and want to hear from people who have already been there.
This isn't about building someone else's cake shed.
Your cake shed might be a small additional income stream.
It might replace a day of paid work.
It might become a bigger part of your baking business.
It might be something you run around your family.
Or it might grow into something you never expected.
There isn't one definition of success.
The important thing is working out what you want yours to be.
Why spend £39 on a workshop?
Because learning before you invest can be a lot cheaper than learning afterwards.
A shed, fridge, equipment, packaging and initial stock can easily add up to hundreds of pounds before you've sold a single cake.
Spending a little money to hear from people who have already done it could save you from spending a lot more on something that doesn't work for the business — or the life — you actually want.

You don't need a business plan.
You don't even need to know whether you're definitely going to do it.

Not ready for the workshop yet?
Start with the Cake Shed Starter Checklist.
If you're still at the "I love the idea, but I don't even know what I need to think about yet" stage, you might not be ready to jump straight into the workshop.
The Cake Shed Starter Checklist gives you a practical way to work through the key areas you'll need to consider before you get started — from the legal and practical stuff to your products, customers, finances and day-to-day running.

And if you decide the workshop is for you, we'll put the cost of your checklist towards your workshop place.
So you can start with the £7 checklist, work through it in your own time and upgrade to the full workshop without paying twice.
